Best Boutique Hotel near Busch Gardens

With a guest room or suite at Hotel Cabana, you’re only about an hour away from one of the best-known and most popular theme parks in the country: Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

If you’re staying with us with a family, Busch Gardens makes a fantastic daytrip destination, with its famous menagerie of live animals and a world-class lineup of rides and shows.

Introducing Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

Part of the SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment family, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has been a major attraction in the Sunshine State since 1959.

This sprawling 335-acre facility combines a theme park with one of the biggest zoos in the country and home to more than 200 different species from all over the world. Kangaroos and penguins to two-toed sloths and meerkats, Nile crocodiles and Komodo dragons to ostriches and bald eagles, African lions and Bengal tigers to chimpanzees and orangutans: There’s nothing like seeing birds and beasts from wide-ranging global ecosystems up close and personal, and that’s one of the prime draws of Busch Gardens.

The animal experiences here include a variety of interactive, hands-on encounters and special viewings, plus the unique open-air tour of the park’s Serengeti Plain®, host to free-roaming giraffes, zebras, and other East African wildlife.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is also for thrill seekers, with its massive roller coasters and other amusement rides. Next year will see a major debut in that department: the opening of Iron Gwazi, set to be the tallest hybrid coaster in North America and the fastest and steepest in the world.

If you’re in the mood for some live entertainment beyond the majesty and antics of the resident fauna, you have a plethora of shows to choose from, including Storytime at Sesame Street – Safari of FunRock a Doo Wop, and Critters Inn Charge, which features rescued cats, dogs, and other furry and feathered buddies.

Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens

You’ve also got one of the top Halloween experiences in Tampa Bay on tap at Busch Gardens: Howl-O-Scream. This collection of haunted houses, scare zones, and ghostly rides awaits your steely nerves through November 2nd.

Boutique Hotel for the Savor St. Pete Festival

If you’re coming to the Tampa Bay area for this year’s Savor St. Pete Festival—the newly renamed incarnation of what used to be called Clearwater Beach Uncorked—we invite you to enjoy convenient boutique-chic accommodations here at Hotel Cabana!

The event—marketed as “the hippest, most exciting two-day food, wine, and craft beer festival on Florida’s West Coast”—takes place Saturday, November 2nd and Sunday, November 3rd, so now is the time to lock down your festival tickets and your lodgings at our gulf island hotel on Clearwater Beach!

The 2019 Savor St. Pete Festival

While this is the first running under the Savor St. Pete Festival banner, it’s the eighth annual edition of the foodie bonanza previously called Clearwater Beach Uncorked, and managed as a sister soiree to Cocoa Beach Uncorked on the other side of the Florida peninsula.

Savor St. Pete Festival brings some of the top chefs, brewers, restaurateurs, and sommeliers from greater Tampa Bay to North Straub Park right along the bayfront—plus droves of gastronomes, epicureans, oenophiles, and craft-beer aficionados.

The heart of the festival is the Grand Tasting Village, open from 1 to 4 PM to General Admission ticket holders and from noon to 4 PM for those with VIP tickets.

The theme for this year’s Savor St. Pete Festival is “Arts. Eats. Beats.” Featured chefs include Todd Fisher of Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Jim Hendry and Anthony LoGerfo of Aprons, and Luis Reyes of Sysco Food Service.

Among the festival highlights are the Savor St. Pete Best Chef Competition on Saturday, which showcases contestants pulling out all the culinary stops, and the filming of two episodes of the show Cooking With Rock Stars, which spotlights ‘80s rockers and some of their personal recipes. Saturday’s episode will star Brian Howe, the lead singer for Bad Company from 1986 to 1994, while Sunday’s features Martha Davis of The Motels; both film at 1:30 PM on the respective days.

Check out the official Savor St. Pete Festival FAQ here, and obtain your General Admission or VIP tickets here.
