Last year’s version treated participants to an hourlong cruise with unlimited beer offered on board, plus a festive shot at each stopover.
Creatures of the Night at ZooTampa
The perfect option for an unforgettable October celebration with the whole gang, ZooTampa’s annual Creatures of the Night event turns its animal-packed grounds into an immersive Halloween-scape. From Medusa’s Stone Cold Cave and the Enchanted Fairy Meadow to the brand-new Twisted Tale Trail and Rising Waters installations, there’s some awesome stuff in store for the 2019 run-through, on offer every Friday and Saturday in October from 4 to 10 PM.
Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens
On the other side of the scary spectrum is Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Not a kid-friendly experience, this frightfest includes a variety of scare zones and haunted houses chockablock with scream-worthy sights, plus fright-ridden versions of the Busch Gardens roller coasters. Feeling brave enough? Howl-O-Scream takes place on select nights between September 20th and November 2nd.
Halloween Block Party & Costume Contests at the John’s Pass Seafood & Music Festival
In addition to all the other fun on tap for the John’s Pass Seafood & Music Festival in Madeira Beach—which has been going strong for nearly 40 years—there’s a heck of a Halloween celebration: the Halloween Block Party & Costume Contests, which spice up the proceedings on October 19th from 7 to 11 PM. There’ll be DJ-driven dancing and some impressive cash prizes going out for the best outfits—plus the crowning of the “Halloween God.”
