Just north across a sparkling pass from Caladesi Island, Honeymoon Island State Park offers more than four miles of sand for your sunbathing and beachcombing. Kayaks and paddleboards are also available to rent for the day.
Fort De Soto Park
The biggest of Pinellas County’s parks, Fort De Soto is another regional jewel—and not just a beach destination, what with its fabulous palm hammocks, mangrove forests, and other native habitats. Fishing and kitesurfing are epic here.
